Why are we publicly shaming these folks? You post “innocent until proven guilty” but you know that these posts and pics will not be interpreted in this manner. I have never been arrested but I think I’d be ashamed enough for the incident that I wouldn’t need to be taken to the electronic town square and locked in the electronic stocks for the public to view me and pass judgement. Joe – this is wrong.
thank you, love it!
All mugshots are available online regardless at vinelink.com he’s just putting them in an easier to access place. Other sources will show an image of every inmate in county jails and prisons. AND a pic of everyone that has been arrested
This is public information for anyone to see.
FYI: anyone can get this information. People who commit crimes need to realize this before making such poor choices.
I have no problem with this. It is public record. Even celebrities aren’t immuned to having their mugshots displayed. I want to know what is going on in my community. I appreciate Joe taking this on.
they are not innocent until proven guilty, they are “presumed” innocent. A big difference, actually most are indeed guilty.
Maybe this is what some of the repeat offenders need, a reminder that if they keep making bad choices that they could lose their families or jobs. I actually know one of these repeat DWI people and believe me after their name was put on here a couple times, they stopped driving and drinking. It embarrassed them, as it should have. Better to be embarrasssed than dead or responsible for someone else’s death. Plus one of these people COULD be working with your children or family, I would want to know what kind of person is around my kids.
Thank you Joe, for bringing back an informative website.
Hooray. I’m all for it.
to sum it all up . . . . IF A PERSON CONDUCTED HIMSELF IN A WAY THAT WAS UN-QUESTIONABLE . . . THEN THEY WOULD’NT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THEIR FACE BEING IN THE PUBLOIC EYE !
Don’t risk getting arrested and you will have nothing to worry about, reputation wise. However, this mugshot site would not be necessary if the Sheriff’s Office was more proactive in maintaining their website. Several SO’s in the state have a website managed by the same as Drew County, and they keep an active inmate roster, up to date warrants, and sex offenders. That is the best way to go see who is in jail for what and who was recently released.
I totally disagree with this practice. It is mean spirited and hurts innocent family members, children in particular. This is the ultimate in nosy neighbors.
I am glad this is back. The ones I I feel sorry for are the innocent ffamilies.
Yeah, innocent till proven guilty. Lets see how many are innocent on court day. Lol! It’s public record. Someone trying to sweep something under the rug?
Yeah, innocent till proven guilty. Lets see how many are innocent on court day. Lol! It’s public record. Someone trying to sweep something under the rug? Mug shots aren’t saying they guilty. They simply say they were booked into jail.
ArTravlR, if your company would have terminated you without a conviction then youcould have had them in a court of law.
STacy, the CITY suspended my DL. Clerk later said it was a mistake. Who knows! She couldn’t speak ENGLISH very well. I worked for the STATE. Once an error is made, it is hard to get corrected. Had to go to court THREE times! All because I failed to use my seat belt in a 26 year old truck. I paid the fine. DL suspended anyway. Sometimes, the government is what is WRONG not the person. There is a lot wrong with Monticello gov’t!
So… Buckle up. It’s the law. Doesn’t make Joe the bad guy.
ArTravlR, we all make mistakes. Lol! I understand your frustration. The government loves Red Tape!!
I know it is public record. But I do feel bad for innocent family members who have no control over what the ‘offender’ does.
Wish you covered Desha County and McGehee . Great site just wih all names had pictures
These postings should be for convictions, not for arrests!
