Monticello Man Faces Additional Drug Charges, Following 2nd Search Warrant
August 21st, 2013 by Joe BurgessAccording to Lt. Jason Akers of the Tenth Drug Task Force, a Monticello man is facing multiple drug charges after the second search warrant was executed at his home within the past year.
Drug Task Force Agents, assisted by the Monticello Police Department and Drew County Sheriff’s Department, executed a search warrant at the residence of ReCarlos Levincent Clark, age 27 of Monticello. Pursuant to the search warrant, Agents located suspected cocaine, marijuana, digital scales commonly used in weighing illegal drugs and a small amount of suspected synthetic marijuana, or “K2”. Agents also located cell phones they believe to contain the names and phone numbers of people suspected of purchasing illegal substances. Suspected drug proceeds were also seized during the search warrant as well.
Clark was apprehended as he was attempting to exit the back of the residence as officers were entering through the front.
A second suspect was detained but later released.
Clark received a bond in amount of $15,000 by Circuit Judge Sam Pope.
