Monticello Live is Alive and Well

Many users of Apple devices have discovered over the last couple of weeks, Apple’s most recent updates require all internet connections to be encrypted in all of their still supported products, older products do not have this update. This is only an issue in some countries, in Europe they have been asked to back off and are allowing Safari to continue to operate on standard unencrypted (http) sites as normal but unfortunately here they only allow encrypted (https) sites. As a result Apple Safari is unnecessarily blocking about 20% of the web sites in the world that still run only html that have no real need for encryption.
As a convenience for Apple users, we have been working over the last couple of weeks to deploy new servers with new backend database servers testing and upgrading all the software involved and migrating all the past data but that of course takes time. There will be a cutover to the new servers soon after everything has been thoroughly tested but in the meantime you have a few options to view
monticellolive.com.
One option is to install Google Chrome from the App Store and browse
monticellolive.com from that browser on your Apple device, Google has not decided to block all unencrypted internet use and we don’t expect them to in the near future. The other is to click Show Details, ignore the scare page and scroll down to the bottom and tell it to continue to the site. I hope this helps everyone having issues with their Apple devices.
