Monticello Dance Academy Competed At Dance Showcase USA Regionals

Students from Monticello Dance Academy’s competition team competed at Dance Showcase USA Regionals in Maumelle April 7th and 8th. MDA took a total of 36 routines to the event. Routines are scored on an adjudicated system of points with Elite Platinum being the highest, then Platinum, Elite Gold, and Gold. They receive a first, second, or third within their category, and then placed in the overall for their respective age and level of competition!
Every routine MDA took scored a Platinum or higher!!! The totals are 6 Elite Platinums and 30 Platinums! The number of category wins include 26 first and 10 second places! In the overalls, MDA took home 4 first, 3 second, 1 fourth, 2 fifth, 1 sixth, 1 seventh, and 1 eighth placements!
MDA had an awesome weekend and will compete again in Hot Springs the first weekend in May! MDA is owned by Allison Neill. Choreographers for the routines above include Allison Neill, Toni Findley, Charlee Carter, Shelly Butcher, Kyle Plunkett, and Angel Hairston.
