Midnight Bomb Threat Shuts Down Local Industy
August 24th, 2016 by iPhoneAt 11:45, Monday night, a bomb threat was called into a local industry, causing the plant to evacuate.
According to Sheriff Mark Gober, all employees were evacuated from Maxwell Hardwood Flooring, on Wilson Mill Road, as Drew County Sheriff’s deputies and Monticello firefighters searched the facility for any explosive devices. None were found.
According to Sheriff Gober, the investigation is still underway.
The plant was closed until dayshift began at 6 AM, Tuesday.
