MHS Principal Lucas Announces Retirement

The Monticello School Board accepted the resignations of Monticello High School Principal Jim Lucas and Assistant Superintendent Carol Santucci, effective June 30, at the School Board meeting held Tuesday night.
Mr. Lucas served as Monticello High School Interim Principal for 2012-2013, and MHS Principal for the 2013-2014 school year. Lucas’s letter expressed his mixed emotions about entering retirement, and his appreciation to the Monticello school system’s staff, teachers, parents, and students. Lucas will most be remembered for his support of changing the MHS schedule blocks.
Carol Santucci served as Assistant Superintendent for the Monticello School District, primarily dealing with personnel and curriculum policies.
