MHS OEC to add Criminal Justice Program
March 16th, 2017 by iPhoneAt their Tuesday meeting, Monticello School Board approval an OEC Course of Study in Criminal Justice at the Monticello OEC, beginning in the 2017-18 school year.
The district was notified, earlier, by the Arkansas Office of Career Education that OEC had been approved to offer Criminal Justice.
Criminal Justice involves law enforcement, national security, crime scene investigation, criminal law and first responder training.
This instructional program prepares individuals to perform the duties of police and public security officers, including patrol and investigative activities, traffic control, crowd control, and public relations.
In order for students to be a completer of the Criminal Justice Program of Study they must complete Crime Scene Investigation, Introduction to Criminal Justice and Foundations of Law.
