MFD Responds to Grass/Woods Fire, Monday Night
September 7th, 2022 by Joe BurgessAt 8:04 PM, Labor Day evening, just before light rain began to fall in the area, the Monticello Fire Department was paged out to the report of a woods fire, caused by a tree limb falling on a powerline and igniting grass in the area, which spread. MFD quickly responded and extinguish the fire, with no injuries or substantial property damage. Photo courtesy of firefighters association.
