MFD Practicing “Rope Rescue” Life-saving Skills

Recently, members of the Monticello Fire Department were practicing their skills of “rope rescue,” using the extended ladder of the ladder truck, along with several cantilever pulleys, assisted by a trainer on the fire academy.
This technique is often shown on television shows, to save trapped victims in multilevel buildings.
MFD has 2 training meetings per month, and practice skills and learn new techniques rescue and firefighting.
