MFD Fire Dept. Rope Rescue Training – Video
July 30th, 2015 by Joe Burgess
Due to technical difficulties, the narration of the video did not sustain its quality through production.
The excercie was planned to train Monticello Fire Dept. personell to perform “rope rescues” for trapped fictims, whether it be from outside a building, or inside of an industrial site.
The rescuers repelled down, from aboue the victims, and also climbed up, from below the victim to gain access to them.
They then would either attach the linking device to the victim, or determine what other appropriate step to take, before lowering the trapped/injured person down to the safety of other first respnders.
The training was considered a very successful project.
