MES Principal Tish Thomas Retiring at End of School Year
February 20th, 2013 by Joe BurgessAfter 18 years as Monticello Elementary School Principal, Tish Thomas is retiring at the end of this school year.
Ms. Thomas has spent 42 years in the field of education, and plans to spend time with her family and “enjoy retirement.”
With mixed emotions, Superintendent Bobby Harper announced her decision at Tuesday night’s school board meeting, commenting that she’d “touch a lot of lives” in her service to the community and school.

Congratulations! Everytime that we come to MES; you always smile and speak to us. I have seen you many times helping in the cafeteria during the lunch times; smiling and visiting with the students as they come throught the line.
