McGehee Mother & Daughter Arrested on Prescription Drug Charges

Jason Akers of the 10th Drug Task Force, a joint investigation between the 10th Drug Task Force and the McGehee Police Department resulted in the arrest of two McGehee women early this morning (September 14) on various drug charges. The two women are mother and daughter.
Samantha Reeves, age 52, of McGehee and her daughter , Melinda Reeves, age 26, were both arrested for delivery of a Schedule 2 controlled substance, Oxycodone.
After a search warrant was executed at their home, both were charged with Maintaining A Drug Premises and Possession of Schedule 2 controlled substances with purpose to deliver. Samantha Reeves was 8 months pregnant at the time of her arrest.
DHS was called to investigate as a 5 year old child and an elderly woman were also determined to be living at the residence. The child was at school when agents executed the search warrant.
