McDonalds Burns in Star City, Sunday AM
September 25th, 2017 by iPhoneShortly before 530, Sunday morning, a handful of customers inside the McDonalds st Star City noticed a fire in the south entrance.
The building, along with an adjoining gas station/convenience store, was quickly evacuated, while the Star City Fire Dept. responded, assisted by Country Village firefighters.
The fire is believed to have been ignited from a cigarette. The “entrance pillars” are made of foam, which is rumored to have been the ignition source.
Damage was contained to the south entrance, as shown by the inside photo.
