Former Mayor Joe Rogers will face current alderman Paige Chase in November, after both filed for the position of mayor, Monday morning.
Sheena Garrard filed to take the seat currently held by Cedric Leonard (who is seeking reelection) on City Council, representing. Ward 1, Seat 1.
Joe Meeks, Claudia Hartness, Craig McRae, Al Peer and Michael James are running unopposed as city council members in November’s election.
Mike Wigley is running for the seat being vacated by Paige Chase. Jonathan Schell is running for the seat held by current alderman Beverly Hudson, who is not seeking re-election
