In Tuesday night’s runoff race in the special election to fill the unexpired term of deceased Monticello Mayor Allan Maxwell, it appears that local businessman Joe Rogers has defeated Maxwell’s assistant to the mayor Zack Tucker.
The election is expected to be certified a week from today.
