Maxwell Elected Chair of Hardwood Federation Board
March 9th, 2016 by iPhoneThe Hardwood Federation has elected Tommy Maxwell, President and CEO of Maxwell Flooring in Monticello, as the chair of the Hardwood Federation Public Action Committee Board of Directors.
The Hardwood Federation is comprised of 28 hardwood trade and industry groups from around the United States and serves as the united voice of the hardwood industry in Washington, D.C., representing the industry on federal policy issues that impact hardwood suppliers, manufacturers and distributors.
Top issues for the Hardwood Federation in recent years include increasing access to timber on federal lands, fighting back onerous regulatory and environmental policies imposed at the federal level, including those of the Endangered Species Act, and promoting tax reform measures that support the industry.
Maxwell is a graduate of Warren High School and the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He is the owner of Maxwell Hardwood Flooring in Monticello and the Co-Owner of Townsend Flooring in Warren.
