August 31st, 2018 by iPhoneAccording to the Ashley County Sheriff’s Dept, Tuesday afternoon at 5:24, they received a 911 call in reference to a man being trapped inside of a combine near Wilmot.
Officers arrived and were told that other farm workers were able to get that man out of the combine header. As officers approached they could see the victim on the ground with both legs amputated, and tied off with tourniquet. At that time, the victim was conscious and talking.

The combine operator described the events to deputies, reporting that the combine header had been in a bind, and was unable to turn. He reversed the combine to work on the header. Mr. Jackson was assisting. He added that as the combine completed its last cycle, it was under pressure and the victim was sucked into the header.
Officials noted that there were no signs of foul play, and that the operator of the operator of the combine did not appear under the influence of any substances.

Praying for the family of this man at this very sad time.
Dear Lord! I pray God touches everyone involved and keeps everyone’s heart’s calm and steady. To be involved in a passing is painful even if you aren’t related. His bless the family that has lost him. And His bless all of those involved.
