Man in Jail Now Facing Deer Camp Break-in Charges
September 10th, 2014 by iPhoneOver the past couple of weeks, the Drew County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating several deer camp break ins.
Property stolen range from ATV’s, hunting supplies, guns, televisions, deer head mounts, duck mounts and even window curtains.
The Sheriff’s Office, along with 10th Judicial District DTF, has made a couple of arrests in the case.
Joshua Gerrald and Justin Larson, both age 27 of Monticello, are in jail at the Drew County Detention Facility.
Gerrald is also in jail for a residential burglary, which occurred in the Enon area.
Larson and Gerrald have admitted to the crimes. While some of the property has not been recovered a good bit has, including the stolen ATV.
Others involved have been questioned, and some could have charges filed against them for theft by receiving.
Updates of future arrest will be given as they come along.
The Sheriff’s Office would urge everyone to keep a record of serial numbers and identifying marks on all their property. Every little detail helps in the long run.
