Man in Court for Burglary, Arrested for 3 More Burglaries
August 1st, 2014 by iPhoneMonday July 28th, Julian Polk was arrested by Monticello Police on a warrant. Polk was in circuit court facing burglary charges from earlier this year when his new arrest occurred.
His new charges are 3 counts of commercial burglary. Bond is set at $50,000 on the new charges. He is currently incarcerated at the Drew County Detention Center.
Polk’s original burglary charge occurred when he was arrested for breaking into the Northside Deli back in April , the new charges came about after Monticello Police detectives gathered DNA evidence from [3] different crime scenes from around the same time as the Northside Deli burglary. The evidence was submitted to the state crime lab and a DNA match was obtained linking Polk to the other three burglaries. The three burglaries occurred at Sammy Mullis Insurance, Drew County Library and the Eureka Lodge.

SEEMS LIKE THESE THEIVES AND THUGS ARE TAKING OVER. TOUGHER LAWS NEED TO BE PUT IN ORDER HERE. TO EVER STOP THEM. JUDGE NEEDS TO MAKE A VERY GOOD EXAMPLE OF NOT PUTTING UP WITH THIS MESS ANY LONGER.
