Friday afternoon around 12:25, a Florence Road resident, believe to be in his mid 60s, fell from the metal carport he was assembling, and landed on a metal rod.

Monticello Fire & Rescue and the Drew County Sheriffs Department responded to the scene. MASI transported the victim to the Monticello airport, where the victim was transferred to a rescue helicopter, to be transported north, for treatment to his injuries.
