UPDATE – Mall / Movie Entrance Closed Due to Big-Rig & Gas Meter Accident

At 7:45, p.m., Thursday night, an 18 wheeler  leaving Popeyes parking lot, into the mall entrance at Highway 425 struck a Centerpoint Energy gas meter.

Except for north and south highway traffic, all roadways were closed until the gas leak was stopped.

MPD, MFD, DCSO, SEEMS, DC OEM,  and Centerpoint responded.

The gas leak was stopped at 8:56, and the roadways were soon re-oponed.
