LR Woman / Conway Man Drug Arrest by MPD
May 19th, 2020 by Joe BurgessAccording to Monticello Police Department Chief Jason Akers, a Little Rock woman and a Conway man are facing multiple felony charges after being arrested by the Monticello Police Department Late Monday.
Officers were investigating a potential identity fraud case when they encountered the couple at a local Hotel. Upon interacting with Alan Davis and Melanie York, both age 44, officers observed suspected drug paraphernalia in the couples motel room.
A consensual search of the room resulted the confiscation of methamphetamine, as well as multiple computers and personal financial data and records, with documents containing numerous social security numbers and other items commonly found in identity theft cases.
Both York and Davis were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, unauthorized used of another’s property to facilitate crimes, forgery 2nd, fraudulent use of a credit card and criminal impersonation.
York was also wanted on felony forgery warrants from Maumelle, Arkansas.
Both suspects received a $50,000 bond.
