Log Truck Crashes into Auction Barn
April 9th, 2021 by Joe BurgessWednesday, at 2 PM, the driver of this northbound log truck lost control of his vehicle on N. Gabbert St., north of Pope Street. The vehicle ran off the roadway, barely missing a small creek, and snapped a light pole, before crashing into the former Drew County Auction Sale.
The driver, who told bystanders that he dodged a car that crossed into his lane, was not injured.
Arkansas Highway Police and Monticello police responded to the accident.
Big Wrecker Towing removed the vehicle from the sale barn and the driver drove it back to Star City.
