Log Truck Collision Claims Life of Local Man – Saturday Update
January 4th, 2014 by iPhoneAround 7:40, Friday morning, the driver of this Chevy pick up was killed when it collided with the rear tandems of a log truck, 8 miles east on Midway Road.

Monticello fire and rescue, Drew County Sheriffs deputies, Arkansas State Troopers, SEEMS, and C&L Wrecker responded to the call.
Air-Evac Lifeteam airlifted Chris Pevey, age 25 of Monticello to JRMC in Pine Bluff, where he was pronounced dead at 12:00.
According to the preliminary accident report “V-1 (log truck) WAS ENTERING MIDWAY ROUTE FROM THE EAST SIDE OF THE ROAD TO TURN SOUTH. V-2 (Chevy) COLLIDED WITH THE REAR AXLE OF THE FREIGHTLINER.”

All our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow and even with the question of why chris? We now exactly how you feel as recentlly going through the same thing with Caleb. Theres nothing I can say to make it easier but to remember the times that were kids growing up together the and laughs they shared at school and ballgames and just hanging out together even after high school. I’m sure the world will miss both of them .
