Local Woman Arrested on Drug Charges and Endangering Welfare of Minors
September 16th, 2012 by Joe BurgessAccording to Sheriff Mark Gober, during the evening of Thursday, September 6th, the Drew County Sheriff’s Department arrested a 34 year old Monticello woman, after receiving a tip that she, along with three juveniles were at a residence located at South Hyatt Street, allegedly smoking marijuana.
While deputies were monitoring the residence they noticed the vehicle that had been parked at the residence leaving. Deputies observed the vehicle cross the center line multiple times before initiating a traffic stop. During the traffic stop the deputies did notice a strong odor of marijuana coming from the driver, a male juvenile. The driver and two of the passengers, both male juveniles, reportedly told the deputy that they had been smoking marijuana at the home of Robin Curry, who was another passenger of the vehicle. Curry gave investigators consent to search the vehicle and her residence where they discovered a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana and other drug paraphernalia items.
Curry was arrested and transported to the Drew County Detention Facility where she was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. Curry was released from jail after posting a $400 bond.

Thank you local police!!! This story is better than any I have read in years…
400 dollar bond why so little
We wonder why our kids act like they do, poor adult role models. I am so glad my son was not exposed to trash like that growing up.
$400 is not so little. That was just a bond, that means there are $4,000 in fines. None of you will actually know what truly happened that day. You were not there. Be better people and do your part, but do not judge others because it is not your place. If you would like to know what really happened, why not ask her or someone that does know?
