Local PayLess Store to Remain Open

The Payless Shoe Store in Monticello has apparently survived a second round of store closings planned by the company, although 16 Arkansas stores are set to close.
Payless filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in April, announcing at the time its proposal to close 378 stores in the United States.
According to MagnoliaReporter.com, Magnolia and El Dorado’s stores will also remain open, at this time.
