Local Pair Arrested Trying to Enter Canada on Arson & Aggravated Assault Warrants

2 Drew County residents were arrested, Friday in Detroit, Michigan, trying to cross into Canada, getting away from arson and aggravated assault warrants, from events that took place here in July.
Patrick Pippen and Michelle Spears, suspects in an arson and aggravated assault case out of Drew County, have been apprehended.
The two suspects were believed to have left the state of Arkansas shortly after the incident and were said to be going to Ohio.
They were apprehended on Friday in Detroit, Michigan as they were trying to get passports to cross over into Canada on Saturday.
The Drew County Sheriff’s Office has been in contact with federal officials and are in route to Detroit to pick both Pippen and Spears up and bring them back to Drew County where they will be placed in jail awaiting first appearance.
