Local Man Facing Stalking, Terroristic Threatening & Other Charges
September 26th, 2018 by iPhoneAccording to Sheriff Mark Gober, around 11:15, Wednesday, a Monticello area man, under an order of protection from being in the area, was reported by his ex- and a family member, after threatening to assault and cause their deaths, following a series of events that occurred on Florence Road.
Joey Lemley was eventually taken into custody, after fleeing the scene, then leading the law enforcement on a foot chase through the nearby woods and fields.
The ADC dog & horse search team responded to the scene, but were able to assist in the suspect’s apprehension, without unloading the animals.
Deputies saw footprints in a field, that lead to where the suspect was found and arrested, after another foot chase.
Lemley is currently being held without bond in the county jail, facing double charges of terroristic threatening, assault, violation of a protection order, and fleeing.
