WOW.
Not much more can be said that isn’t redundant. What happened to Monticello? Although I make the case that Arkansas needs to catch up to the modern world, still little serious, victimizing crime used to occur when I first moved there in 1996. I moved away in 2010. Just in time, it seems to me (or maybe better late than never). I miss many people and I miss the good times and the beautiful or fun things. I don’t miss the attitudes, the good ole’ boys, nor the social and criminal problems.
Someday things must change — everywhere. It’s getting worse and worse. I cannot fathom how people can be so ruthless, so evil, so cruel.

WOW.
So judge a whole town over one crime? Who has the attitude? Where is this paradise that you live at? My belief is that the devil doesn’t stay in just one area. Or is that belief not modern enough for you?
Northern Girl, unfortunately this sort of thing goes on everywhere, not just in Monticello.
Where does Northern Girl live? A place that has no crime, no bad attitudes, no social problems, and no “good ol’ boys.” Is the North Pole nice this time of year?
Don’t be ignorant Northern Girl. You can judge a whole town based on the actions of 1 stupid person. Have more maturity and common sense than that. Saying that this one guys actions reflects the whole towns morality is like saying all guys are guilty of this crime.
Northern girl,
I agree with you that people are becoming more and more evil. However, it’s all across this nation. I’m very fond of Monticello. There is not another place I’d rather live and that is why i make it my home. I was born and raised here and I’m raising my family here. There are great people in Monticello. I used to think that many things that are taking place “across the nation” are “mental issues”. I have changed my mind on that. It is an “ungodly” issue. It’s a heart issue “across this nation”. People “across the nation” have forgotten what this nation was founded on. It was founded on Christian principles and on PRAYER. For any of this madness to stop, the answer is not to run away and find another place to live. The answer is that Christians must stand firm and not forget Christian morals and values. But also, Washington needs to remember also that this is not a Muslim nation, or a Hindu nation, or a Buddha nation….IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE A CHRISTIAN NATION.
KJV 2 Corinthians 7:14 says “if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”.
However, I’m afraid that as a “nation”, our Christian principles are being tried by the simple fact of “accommodating” to every originization “across this nation”, even if its immoral. Sorry to say Northern girl, it’s showing a domino effect and ruining the minds and hearts of this generation growing up now. Minds are unclean and hearts are unclean because the idea of “acceptance”. Homosexuality, pre-marital teen sex, violence, and foul language are warping our younger generation to believe that “its the modern way” or many times referred to as the “normal way”. In that case Northern Girl, im proud to be “abnormal”. But let us not blame it on TV 100%. It’s “OUR faults also for allowing such mess to infiltrate our “nation”. This evil act that this young man did should never be accepted at all. However, I know some facts of history in the Bible where some countries became “accepting” of these types of acts. And those countries….were wiped off the map. Oh that couldnt be us, some may say. Why not? If we want our “NATION” to get back to Christian principles and we want God to heal our land, we must turn back as a NATION” to The One and only..The Almighty God. So is this a mental issue? A Monticello issue? An Arkansas issue?? No, it’s a heart issue that stems all the way from legislation all the way down to the simple parent who decides to never raise their children up knowing who God is. We’ve ALL found ourselves in the battleground caught in the mix but we cannot give up. Christians, I encourage you to PRAY for our young generation, our parents, and our nation that everything we do, do it in a way that is “well-pleasing” to The Father.
Waiting for shout and may GOD bless!!
To Northern girl, Unfortunately you would have to live on a deserted island to be away from crime. You mentioned Arkansas being worse since 1996. The entire world has changed since that time. It is worse everywhere – not just in Arkansas. It would be nice to go back to the good ol days, but that isn’t going to happen. Maybe the Lord will return soon and we who are Christians will no longer have to worry about these terrible times.
Good job Ryan!!!!!! We need more people like you to express the
