Local Lady Killed in Texas Car Crash
May 6th, 2014 by iPhoneA 46 year old Drew County lady lost her life, in a 2 vehicle car crash, around 3:40 Monday afternoon, north of Houston, TX.
According to the police report, Sandra Ethridge was driving a 2013 Ford Taurus southbound on Highway 75 just north of Calvary Road, near Willis, A witness said that as her vehicle came out of a curve, it crossed the center line almost striking the ditch. Etheridge then struck a Montgomery County Road Crew truck that was northbound on Highway 75. (The driver of that truck was transported to Conroe Regional Hospital in stable condition.)
Several passerby’s stopped and attempted to render aid. They were forced back when the vehicle burst into flames. Several tried using fire extinguishers but were unable to, due to the intensity of the blaze.
North Montgomery County Fire Department arrived on the scene and was able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
Ethridge was pronounced dead at the scene.

When I got the call, I cried myself to sleep… I couldn’t believe what I was hearing…. in shock I guess you could call it… praying that God will place his hand on Bobby and little bo bo’s heart and also the family… you were always there to cheer anyone up when they were down… you was a great mother and wife… but now you can spread your wings and fly with God and angels in the land of glory!!!! You will ALWAYS be loved, missed dearly, and always be in our hearts!!!!!! Love you lots Sam!!!!!
