Local Lady Jumps off Mississippi River Bridge – Facebook Rumors are False
October 24th, 2018 by iPhoneIn an interview, Wednesday, MLive spoke with Chicot County Sheriff Ron Nichols.
During that interview, Sheriff Nichols confirmed that shortly after noon, Tuesday, a delivery driver on the Greenville Mississippi/Lake Village Arkansas bridge reported seeing a lady jump into the fast-flowing waters of the Mississippi River
Law enforcement quickly responded, finding her car, keys and drivers license in the area.
A search by boat quickly began, but found no results to bring closure to the case. The Mississippi River is described a running fast at a higher than usual level.
The family was notified, and has picked up the vehicle and personal items inside. The person believe to be involved is a Monticello female.
The investigation is still underway, and areas down river, have been notified of the situation.
Sheriff Nichols did confirm that the lady believed to be involved in this incident, is not related in anyway related to recent new stories about another Monticello case that drew considerable attention
