Recently, Family Dollar announced 370 store closings nationwide.

There is one being built in Dumas too. It is very strange that they are putting so much money into building new ones when they appear to be in such financial trouble.
I can’t see that we need another dollar store in Monticello. If I am remembering correctly, we had a “Family Dollar” here once before and it closed.
I do agree that more effort should be focused on stores other than the dollar ones. I feel we have enough.
