Double Drug Arrest by DTF in Monticello
June 30th, 2017 by iPhoneAccording to Lt. Jason Akers of the 10th Drug Task Force, a joint investigation between the 10th Drug Task Force and the Ashley County Sheriffs Department resulted in the arrest of two Ashley County men Tuesday night in Monticello.
Roderick Montgomery, age 24, of Crossett was arrested after arranging with an undercover agent to trade a quantity of methamphetamine for a defaced AR15 rifle. After the transaction with an undercover Agent was complete, Montgomery was taken in to custody.
Montgomery also faces a charge of Delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, in Ashley County stemming from the same joint investigation.
Montgomery was charged with Felon in possession of a firearm, Delivery of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine; Possession of a defaced firearm, Use of a communication device and Using the property of another to facilitate certain crimes. He is currently incarcerated in the Drew County Jail.
Stetson Stevens, age 22, was also arrested in connection with the incident. Stevens faces charges of delivery of a controlled substance. He is currently incarcerated in the Drew County Jail.
