Local “Carpet Medics” to Assist Hurricane Sandy Victims on East Coast
November 15th, 2012 by SubmittedCarpet Medics owner, Randy Phillips, is traveling to the east coast to assist to the thousands of homeowners whose homes have been damaged by Hurricane Sandy.
Phillips says, “There are still hundreds of thousands of people whose homes are waiting to be repaired, and before that can happen they will have to be dried. The storm surge filled many homes with as much as 4 feet of sea water and although the water has receded the structures are saturated. There are hundreds of restoration contractors like us there but they can barely scratch the surface of the work needed to be done.”
He added, “We are taking a trailer load of dehumidifiers and similar drying equipment to do as much as we can to help. The most common question I have been asked by folks is how long do you think you’ll be there and all I can say is ‘As long as it takes’.
While Phillips is on the east coast Carpet Medics here in Monticello will still be in full operation cleaning carpets daily with his experienced crew taking care of local needs, as always.
You are invited to “like” the Carpet Medics FaceBook page, and keep up with their progress on the east coast.
