Lightning Hits UAM Music Building Tower- Update
July 1st, 2022 by Joe BurgessAt around 4 PM, Thursday afternoon, during a thunderstorm in Monticello, a bolt of lightning hit UAM‘s famous music building tower, causing damage to the external portion of the building, before running to the ground through a Crêpe Myrtle.
There were people in the music building when the strike occurred, but no one was injured.
There was no internal damage to the building.
