There is a mass exodus from the Middle East. Europe is overwhelmed. Christian families (direct descendants of the first believers at Pentecost) are stuck in Syria, merely existing in metal shipping containers. Awaiting ISIS/ISIL’s wrath.
My husband and I were in Birmingham, Alabama, two weeks ago for the Restoring Unity event. It was at this event that we heard a brave Christian speaker, who is now back on site in Syria trying to help these families, tell us of their dire circumstances.
Their homes, businesses and Churches were marked for destruction with the Arabic symbol ‘Nazarene’, identifying them as believers in Jesus.
A few days before this event, a ‘Nazarene Fund’ was begun with a goal of $2,000,000. When donations amazingly reached $3,600,000, the goal was raised to $6,000,000. It costs $25,000 to relocate families of five to an accepting Country. This covers one year of expenses so they won’t be a burden to the newCountry. This is following Schindler’s List approach used to save Jews in WWII.
At the event itself, a $10,000,000 goal was set to cover 400 families. As of September 12th the Nazarene Fund was almost at $8,000,000 with average donations of $100. God is confirming this effort by providing donations through us, the body of Christ. It will be wonderful to get this done, and then start again to relocate another 400 vetted Christian families as well.
If God moves your heart to help, in any amount, please go to mercuryone.org and type Nazarene Fund in the Search area and click on the Donate box.
Jewish families experienced this very same thing during WWII and the world said, “Never again!” Well, it seems never again is now!
Blessings,
Nancy Miller

THANK YOU MRS MILLER!!!
Ms. Miller’s letter was certainly compelling. In addition, we should not forget that the overwhelming number of refugees from Syria (and other Middle East countries) are Muslims who also need aid just as do Christian refugees as described above. There are a number of organizations which are doing their best to provide such aid but they need financial support from Europeans and North Americans. Three prominent ones are the International Red Cross, UNICEF, and Samaritans’ Purse. This current mass movement of refugees fleeing from the wars in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan make up the worst refugee crisis since World War II and it will take the efforts of people everywhere to assist in alleviating this vast humanitarian problem.
