Lake Monticello to Draw Down. Will Not Be Drained – Videos

Lake Monticello edges at 10 & 20 foot draw down.
5 council members voted to draw down the lake. They were Joe Meeks, Michael James, Al Peer, Paige Chase, and Claudia Hartness.
3 voted not to draw down the lake. These were Cedric Leonard, Beverly Hudson, and Carolyn Brown.
There was no vote about a total drainage.
After the meeting, Leonard and Hudson told ML they thought total drainage was the best long-term solution for the lake.
The accepted definition of “how low” is best described as “as long as you can still use the boat dock.”
