KKK Planning Drew County Meeting in October
September 28th, 2017 by iPhoneThe IKK division of KKK has sent a letter to Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober, expressing their intentions to hold a 3 day rally in Drew County.
In July, 2015, the group held a similar rally, at the same location. That event drew a lot of public attention, and had an overwhelming response by law-enforcement.
Aside from their private meeting, and a few peaceful protests in town, nothing “newsworthy” took place.
The letter indicates they plan to hold a meeting, dinner, speeches and a “cross lighting”.
As was the case in 2015, the vast majority of the public is still opposed to the event taking place in Drew County, but realize the group has the legal right to assemble on private property.
