Kiwanis Flag Fundraiser, Honor Service Members & Support Local Projects
May 22nd, 2015 by Joe BurgessThe Kiwanis Club of Monticello is once again planning to display flags on the town square and the courthouse lawn in honor and remembrance of our service men and women.
The flag project is a major fundraiser for Kiwanis each year. It helps fund projects such as bedroom makeovers for Drew County children in need, scholarships, and Christmas presents for needy children. The project also impacts our community by showing support of our military men and women.
If you would like to make a contribution of $30 to display a flag in honor or memory of someone, please contact a Kiwanis member. Your flag will be displayed on the square or court house lawn with a tag attached showing your name and the person(s) you are honoring. The $30 contribution will accommodate two names, additional names can be added for $2 each. After the flag display period, the keepsake flag will be yours to pick up at Union Bank or donate.
Thank you for helping support this event. Kiwanis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to “saving one child at a time”.
