Jury Returns with Guilty Verdict & Sentence

At approximately 4:45 pm, the jury in the 2017 infant murder trial of Kannika Jenkins, the jury went into deliberations.
At 6 pm, they returned with a guilty verdict on the charge of 1st degree murder.
After testimony from family, and comments from the prosecution, the jury went back to decide her sentence.
At 6:45, the jury returned a verdict of a 15 year prison sentence.
Jenkins was taken into custody by the sheriff’s dept. to begin serving her sentence.
