Judge’s Verdict- 15 Election Issues Removed from Nov. Ballot
October 10th, 2016 by iPhoneAt 11:30, Judge Glover asked the plaintiff’s attorney if the term limit case law specified state and county offices.
Allen responded that the case cited was a county case, but it was relevant, since the earlier ruling was based on the fact that it would change “eligibility to file,” as described in state law.
Judge Glover then asked for 2 more clarifications, and received short responses from Allen.
At 11:40, Judge Glover told those present that ballots have already been completed (some printed and mailed, and the rest completed in software). He then ordered that the Writ of Mandamus should prevent any of these 15 issues (included on the submitted petitions) to be counted on the ballot.
Basically, the issues will show on the ballots, but will not be counted or certified, afterwards.
