March 5th, 2012 by Christian Brothers Funeral HomeJohn Henry Miller, 74, of Monticello, AR, died Saturday, March 3, 2012, at UAMS in Little Rock, AR. He was born June 7, 1937, in Fountain Hill, AR, to the late John and Maureese Hackney Miller.
He was a truck driver and a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Monticello.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Patsy Ruth Wisecarver, Carolyn Jean Summerford, Ouida Jordan and Lucille Bays.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Boyd Miller of Monticello, Ar; two daughters, Susan Golden and Cindy Kellum, and one son, John Henry Miller IV, all of Monticello, AR; two brothers, Charles Miller of Crossett, AR, and James Miller of Pine Bluff, AR; three sisters, Charlene Scoggins of Monticello, AR, Reba Fletcher of Crossett, AR and Gloria Lone of Van Buren, AR; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation is being held Monday, March 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. and the funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 6 at 2 p.m. at the United Pentecostal Church in Monticello. Rev. Rex Williams and Rev. Anthony Hearnesburger are officiating the ceremony. Burial will be in the Lacey Cemetery with arrangements by Christian Brothers Funeral Home of Monticello, AR.
Pallbearers are Barry Fletcher, Bill Lemley, Jimmy Hearnsburger, Aaron Travers, John Summerford, Bobby Cherry, and Oscar “Burn” Summerford.
Honorary pallbearers are Dewayne Beard, Marshal Thurman and Bobby Dale Bays.
