Joe Rogers Files for Nov. Mayor Election as Independent

Former Monticello Mayor Joe Rogers filed as an independent candidate, Wednesday, for the mayor’s position in the November election.
Rogers, along with four other candidates, have also filed for the interim mayor election, which will be held on June 24.
The deadline to file as an independent for the November election is May 19. This deadline also applies to independent candidates for city council positions.
As of Thursday afternoon, no other candidates had officially file.
