Jackson Street Closed for Bridge Construction
January 6th, 2015 by Joe BurgessThe Jackson Street Bridge nearest to the intersection of Jackson and Conley Street has be closed due to construction. Construction is expect to be complete in February.
The project approved by City Council in 2014. Will include fully replacing the current bridge with a wider more structurally sound foundation.
In 2012, a 1 ton limit was placed on the bridge; limiting the traffic on East Jackson Street. Upon completion of construction, the new bridge will re-open for normal street traffic.
