Incident on MES Campus Leads to 4 Students Being Suspended
April 20th, 2009 by Joe BurgessAccording to Monticello school district officials, 4  elementary students were suspended, following an incident that occurred on the school’s playground after lunch Thursday.
Two teachers were on playground duty. While one of them went inside of the building to take care of the first aid issue, a cafeteria employee noticed four boys holding down a female student, and touching her in an inappropriate manner.
The cafeteria employee got the boys attention, and ran to the scene, causing their actions to stop.
She then took the girl inside the building, and reported the events to the principal, who performed an investigation and talked to all involved.
The four male students were suspended for three days, and all parents were notified.

These boys should be expelled for the year and charges brought against them. The judge should order counseling!
Children are no longer children!
This happened at MES? What in the world is going on with these kids. The oldest they are is 8 or 9. Does no one teach morals and appropriate behaviors anymore? Its scary to know what type of children my children are growing up with.
Joe, while I agree with your statement about charges I feel like it really falls back on the parents. I believe charges should be filed against the parents. Due to their age I believe it is lack of parenting, morals and teaching of appropriate behaviors (like I said before).
