“Judge, I Was Test Driving the Truck”, “Didn’t Know about the Weed”
August 3rd, 2017 by iPhoneRecently, District Judge Bruce Anderson heard an interesting reason why a driver had been stopped, while possessing marijuana and a pair of scales.
The defendant, Antorious Simpson, age 19 of Monticello, was stopped by Monticello Police officer on a traffic stop at Barkada Road, at 9:50 PM, February 27, while driving a Chevy pick-up with fictitious tags and no proof of insurance.
During the recent court appearance, Judge Anderson explain that if you’re driving the vehicle that you were responsible for anything contained in the vehicle.
The owner of the vehicle also testified, but only acknowledged that he owned the vehicle.
Simpson was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with no tags and insurance.
