House Fire Started by A/C Wire Short
June 20th, 2022 by Joe BurgessSaturday afternoon, around 3:20 PM, the Monticello Fire Department was paged out to a house fire in the 800 block of Main Street in Monticello.
The fire was contained to a back bedroom, with smoke damage throughout the home.
The fire is believed to have started from a electrical cord short, running to a window unit air conditioner.
As temperatures continue to rise, please check your appliance cords to make sure they are not worn or under other furniture.
