Evidence seems to indicate that he was correct, except that he was allegedly involved in the arson fire that caused his injuries.
According to Monticello Police Chief Jason Akers, two Pine Bluff men are facing Arson and residential burglary charges.
Quinton Douglas, age 43 and Demetrice Johnson, age 48, were charged after a lengthy investigation into a suspicious fire that occurred at an empty Monticello residence in early August.
Quinton Douglas was arrested and charged, shortly afterwards he received a $40,000 bond. Johnson was located and due to physical injuries police believe he sustained during the offense, was charged but not taken in to custody.
