Greer Speaks to DC 8th Graders

John Paul Greer of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, is show here speaking to Penny Vance’s class of Drew Central 8th grade students concerning participation in the Arkansas Scholars Program.
The Arkansas Scholars Program is a cooperative program of the Arkansas Business & Education Alliance and your local chamber of commerce. Each year, volunteers from the Monticello-Drew County Chamber of Commerce visit in each of the county’s 8th grade classrooms to encourage students to stay in school and to seek higher education beyond high school.
Students are shown examples of how a good education pays lasting dividends as these students move beyond the classroom and into the workforce. Seniors who have successfully completed the requirements of the program are honored at a luncheon near the end of their senior year.
