A pair of petitions, signed by 30 Monticello residents, was presented to county attorney Cliff Gibson and city attorney Witt Barton, prior to Monday’s hearing in Drew County Circuit Court, over 15 proposed topics, set to be on the November 8 election ballot.
Both attorneys have a working history with 20 for the Future (a local group which contains many plaintiffs in this case), Economic Development Fund of Monticello, and the MEDC (Monticello Economic Development Commission).
